Big Island Motors COVID-19 Precautions

Like many of you, our car dealerships on the Big Island have been researching the best ways to stay safe and secure during the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand you may have concerns, and we want you to know that our No. 1 priority is the safety and well-being of all of our customers and employees. That’s why we’ve taken extra steps to ensure everyone follows CDC best practices. From regular sanitization to social distancing and more, our Hyundai and Subaru dealer in Hilo, HI, is committed to making our showroom a safe and comfortable space for everyone who visits.

Hyundai & Subaru Dealer COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Big Island Motors has taken precautions to help reduce the risk of COVID-19 and ensure everyone can shop for a car safely. Some of the safety protocols we’ve implemented include:

  • Our dealership cleaning crew is sanitizing all high-traffic surfaces hourly, if not more. This includes wiping down and disinfecting door handles, chairs, desks, work spaces, bathrooms, kiosks and any other high-touch areas.
  • Staff has been instructed to use hand sanitizer and wash their hands multiple times a day, as well as disinfect cell phones, desk phones, keyboards and more.
  • Until further notice, our team will be maintaining appropriate social distance from customers. This means our employees won’t be shaking hands, giving high fives, fist bumps or hugs. This is extremely difficult since we’re such a friendly team, but we know it’s the best practice for the time being.
  • We are staying up to date with CDC guidelines and updating our response per state and local government recommendations.
